The Big O Music Festival is definitely a start to what could possibly be the next alternative version of Coachella Festival to say least. The festival took place at the Central Florida Fairgrounds in Orlando on Sunday December 7th from eleven o ‘ clock presented by Orlando’s new alternative station X 107.3 FM. They had three stages all together sponsored by the Jagermeifer, Axis Local Noise, and the main stage Monster Energy. General Admission started at $39.50 and VIP: $89.50

The Big O definitely brought an all time lineup from performances of bands like Felicity,The New Politics, J. Roddy, Bear Hands, Big Data, Dirty Heads, Young The Giant  to legendary bands like Weezer and since 2009 Fall Out Boy!
the big o

Felicity rocked out the stage.

A night with Alex & Sierra

Alex and Sierra are an American pop duo made up by Alex Kinsey and Sierra Deaton  who are a young couple both from Florida. They won the final season of The X Factor USA and were mentored by the one and only Mr. Simon Cowell who was in charge of the groups. Their debut album will be releasing October 7th, 2014 on Itunes if you do the pre-order right now its only $9.99 guys!  The couple both attended the University of Central Florida and came back here to promote their brand new music with Orlando’s Best Mix station MIX 105.1 FM who held a contest for their ALL ACCESS LOUNGE. Basically they choose a handful of winners and they get VIP Access to a 30 minute music performance, Q&A, and finally Meet & Greet opportunities. Because I am always in the mix I submitted my information and while I was in Texas I got a called I won and I got to go.  This was held in the beautiful Aloft Hotels in Downtown Orlando by MIX 105.1 FM and I got my meet and greet band and enjoy the show.

When they first came in everyone was kind of stunned and applauded. Right off the bat they introduced themselves and started playing their new exclusive songs from their album as well as covers. They answered questions about the show, and what their plans are while they are in town. Afterwards were the awesome meet and greets were basically it was the best thing ever. Since it was a lounge and a couple of people we actually got time to go by pairs or one by one and after taking a professional pic from the staff you could actually talk to them a for a minute or two and then move on.

The quickest interview I go to do was to ask them at least three questions:

They give the biggest most humble hugs let’s make that clear I loved it.

1.) Me: “Who would be your wildest collaboration to work with?”

Alex: “Paul McCartney without a doubt.”

Sierra: “Really? Oh Yeah Paul McCartney yes that would be great”.

2.) Me:What about Adele? Would you want to record a song with Adele since you have similar sounds in acoustics?

Alex: “Oh My God Yes!

Sierra: “Are you kidding of course that would be amazing.

3.) Me: “So would you mind us three taking a selfie for the blog?”

Alex:No way! Let’s do it!”

Me: “So I’m short I’ll go in the middle. Do you want to take it?”

Alex: “For sure! I got it I’m going to show you a trick.”

Sierra: “He is great at taking selfies!”

All three of us pose crazy faces *Snap Snap*

All three of us look at the camera  and say NICE!

Alex: “Glad you could make it it was great meeting you!”

Sierra: “Thank you for everything!”

Me: Thank you meeting you both is as awesome as our selfie!

Alex and Sierra closed in on another big hug, signed an autograph, and on to the next person and after everyone was done they escorted them out. They are so great live! I really love their music because their voices harmonize so well together. I cannot wait for their debut “Its About Us” to be released who have been working with top names in the industry like Julian Bunetta, Jason Mraz, Harry Styles, and John Legend.  Their debut single “Scarecrow” its one of my favorite songs  but the one that I think will make charts and everyone new favorite will be the song that this album is named after  “Its About Us” because its a ballad with amazing lyrics for those romantics out there.

If you like, love, hated but still love, and want more hit that like and share buttons 😉

Love,

E ❤

Concert Review: Blake Shelton – Ten Times Crazier Tour & Dan+Shay Experience.

BACK STORY: Surprising Mom!

10644019_697061297045064_23490904_n

Back in January my mother’s birthday came around and I really had no idea what to get her. She was driving me insane with how much she loves The Voice and how she could watch it a thousand times as long as they kept Blake Shelton on the panel. I, in the other hand agreed with her to watching all seasons as long as they kept my “boyfriend” Adam Levine. So as mother and daugther we have a tradition of watching The Voice now. Then one day I told her “Mom, I swear if Blake Shelton ever comes to a concert I will buy you Meet & Greet Passes just to see your reaction if you meet him” and laughed it off. Her on the other hand stared at me “Really? I don’t know how would I event start speaking to him”. But that’s when I realized that could always be a good idea for a gift. So as a totally amazing daugther right? I went online and search for Blake Shelton Tour Dates and I saw that Orlando was listed for his recent Ten Times Crazier Tour. The tickets were not on sale yet so I had to subscribe for the special pre-sale code. Three days later my mom tells me we are going out of town to visit family and that we were leaving at the same time and day as the tickets went on sale. I panicked and try to stall so I could purchase the tickets away from her. But we had to leave and I had no access to the internet so I tried downloading the Livenation/ Ticketmaster app but it wasn’t working on my phone. So I emergency texted my two older cousins so they could buy the pair of tickets but they were unavailable. I freaked out and while my mother was driving I was trying to keep it together while watching the tickets slowly being taken away from my hold. Finally by a miracle I get enough WiFi to score the tickets but it was too late for the Meet & Greet Packages. But thankfully I got us close enough and the results on August 30th, 2014 were totally worth it. Because I had the chance to repay my mother a little bit back for all the things she has done for the both of us. Yeah sounds cliche but there was no better feeling than seeing her get all emotional and excited like a total fan girl when she found out I got her tickets to see her favorite country singer and man Blake Shelton. She even teared up. THE FEELS!

CONCERT TIME:

Held on August 30th, 2014 at the Amway Centre in Orlando, Florida.

Opening Acts: Neal McCoy,Dan & Shay, and The Band Perry.

shelton1.jpg

Neal McCoy was the Host & Entertainer from beginning, middle, and end of the show. He knew how to keep everyone entertained as he performed various songs with his band as well as paying tribute to Michael Jackson. He was very funny and a pleasure to listen to.

Dan and Shay is Nashville’s new duo Dan + Shay (consisting of Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney) who took the stage and rocked out to songs off of their album “Where It All Began”. Their original sound of a mix between rock/pop and country. Its like Rascal Flatts ,One Republic, and Usher meets Lady Antebellum. They are very talented they sound so amazing and flawless live its like listening to their album with more adrenaline and passion. I definitely see a bright future ahead full of more albums and success for this group.  Some of my favorite songs that they performed are “Stop, Drop,& Roll”, “Show You Off”, and “I Heard Goodbye”. They are both very handsome and their voices are perfectly arranged in pitch, harmony, and eloquently with their lyrics.

10643863_1478645852388994_1127568616_n

After their performance I got a Meet & Greet Bracelet to meet Dan+Shay after the concert ended. I ran up the stairs from were my seats where across the arena and did a line and I made it just in time before they started closing the line up even IF you had your meet & greet pass (which sucked for some fans). They definitely didn’t expect that many fans at their Meet & Greet. I befriended the couple in front of me and made small talk and all of the sudden I saw Dan and I was like “Oh Crap I am going to forget my name” and the lady just laughed at me and said “Oh honey I’ll be right at the exit in case you faint to help you”. I definitely didn’t think I was that nervous but I gathered myself up and when it was my turn I handed my camera to their assistant. Dan said “Hi how are you? Thanks for getting our album” as I handed him my album for him to autograph. I told him my name and somehow I just blurted out “Of course you guys are very talented, and you’re BEAUTIFUL”. As soon as I said it and realized what I just had said I think my face was pretty much flushed red. -_- … like seriously? But Dan was a real sweetheart and in nano seconds was like “No, YOU’RE Beautiful” and smiled and I was like Eeeppp! Total Fan girl Moment right there! So i smiled said thank you and as Shay signed my CD he places it on the table next to him and then surprises himself and says “Oh Wow you really are” and I’m like what just happened?. So I smile trying to get myself together in between these two and ended up in this awesome photo:

Meeting the wonderful Dan + Shay after the concert.

The Band Perry needs no introduction they are one of the most successful bands in Country Music. For those who don’t know much about country music let me give you a quick glance. The Band Perry is a group composed of three siblings Kimberly Perry, Reid Perry, and Neil Perry. They all have vocals and play all kinds of instruments. They released their first self titled album back in October of 2010. Their second album Pioneer was released three years in April 2013 with their number one song “If I Die Young”. The song reached number one on the U.S Billboard Hot Country songs, Hot Adult Contemporary charts, and has been certified quadruple platinum! Some of their top hit songs from their second album also include “Better Dig Two”, “Done”, “Chainsaw”, and “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely”. All of these songs were performed that night and it was incredible. I had never had the chance to see them live and I am so glad I did. They are very humble and they definitely know how to own that stage and keep the crowd wanting more. They graphics in the backdrop screens had really cool lyrics, images of sparrows, and the bands initials “TBP” displaying while they sang different songs.

tbp.jpg

Blake Shelton: The Man Of The Hour!

So by this point as soon as the Blake came out being revealed on the stage as the curtains rise up my mom literally freaked. And that was the best thing ever! See the pic below:

BeFunky_IMG_1919.jpg

blake.jpg

He literally emerged from the top  of a short stairway and performed “All About Tonight”. He is so tall, so handsome, and so humble. He loves to talk a lot and i mean A LOT! But that made the crowd cheer even more and a true connection. He would stop mid sentence and thank everyone for showing up and showing him support. He even made a Twitter joke which was quite funny about how people from the industry thought no one was going to show up but guess what? Orlando represented country music and the love for Blake to a topnotch. One of my favorite songs of course was ‘Kiss My Country Ass”, “Neon Light”, “Footloose”, “Mine Would Be You”, “Boys Round Here”, and the one that broke my heart “Over You”. A song he wrote along with his wife Miranda Lambert after his brother passed away. This song is so emotional and seeing him perform it live left me speechless. Therefore he teared up because it so close to his heart. He also sang his own cover to  Michael Bublé’s “Home” into a lovely country ballad and the crowd made even more lovely when they all lit up the arena with their cellphones.

10624527_663084993787337_1806010033_n

And of course he sang a couple of more upbeat songs before the concert ended. Bottom line all performers were great, very talented, very upbeat, fun, and definitely not my last country concert!! So if you liked this post please give it a LIKE! ❤ thanks for reading!

Love,

Love Always,

E

DEMI LOVATO “NEON LIGHTS TOUR 2014 ” Concert Review 101

Hello Fashionminies, It’s Evetzie here and I am back with you concert review 101 and this time is on DEMI LOVATO’S: NEON LIGHTS TOUR 2014! That’s right, on Wednesday, February 26th, 2014 I had the pleasure to attend her concert in Tampa, at the Tampa Bay Times Forum. The show started exactly at 7’o clock. Once I got there, I felt the rush of emotions running through. I was so excited it was my first time ever attending a concert at the Tampa Bay Times Forum and the venue was quite cool. I have been lucky to see Demi once before in concert at the Mardigras Summer Concert Series in Universal, Orlando. But this time it was my first time ever going to an arena concert which was way better. I got main floor tickets row 22  and you can only imagine the “feels”. I was also very excited because opening up for Demi was two great girl bands: Fifth Harmony, and Little Mix, and one cool magician Collins Keys

Image

Image

(Pictured above: I am standing next to Demi Lovato’s official dress from the music video in “NEON LIGHTS”, and used  in her Tour Promo Video while she is swimming for the opening at the concert)

As soon as I went in the venue one of my favorite things besides checking the new venue out is checking out the merchandise tour table. There were some amazing things on there expensive like always but if you are committed fan and want a souvenir you pay it I guess! Well for the most part, I personally wouldn’t spend $60 on a sweatshirt but if its one of a lifetime experience and its your favorite band or singer, and you are willing GO FOR IT!! You may not get a second chance to and if you do that is great 🙂 But its always an amazing feeling if you do get something its like a memory that last a lifetime.

Image

I personally got myself a Little Mix Tour Tee and Charm Bracelet because I know that I might not see them again unless they come back to the US on their own tour. And being a big fan of Little Mix I couldn’t let the opportunity pass me by but they had amazing products for all four of the performers. Demi had hats, sweatshirts, tshirts, posters, books, everything & Fifth Harmony had Hats and tees, Collins Keys had tshirts, and Little Mix had tshirts, bracelets, and I think something else too but I can’t remember right now. 🙂

Image

*All merchandise price points vary but usually from $10 and up all the way too $100.

ImageImage

(My friend Cathee and I at our Main Floor Seats – Row 22, as pictured above)

Image

Collins Keys opened up the concert as the main host for the night presenting each act before they took the stage and riling up the crowd throughout the night with his magic tricks. A few lucky fans were brought up on stage by Collins and received some really cool suprises like backstage passes, meet and greet tickets, selfies, and massive hugs. The first act that took the stage to perform was the all American girl band Fifth Harmony who was formed back on the second season of The X Factor. The group consists of members Ally Brooke Hernandez, Normani Hamilton, Dinah Jane Hansen, Camila Cabello, and Lauren Jauregui.

Image

The girls started out with an acapella version of their new hit single “Me & My Girls” with each girl individually “boxed” in their set design. The girls wore pretty casual clothing that appeal to each of their personas but they did not look collectively as a group. Even though they are named “Fifth Harmony” their harmonies were off and not sync in at all. I believe the girls are great but they were all over the places in most of the songs if not all. They sang “Me & My Girls”, “Better Together”, “Who Are You”, “Leave My Heart Out of This”, “Don’t Wanna Dance Alone”,  and closed with “Miss Movin On”. Later on Collins came back again and he went through the crowd to find a fan to help him with his next trick. He literally walked right in front of my friend’s Cathee and I face. I literally was speechless he is really gorgeous in person. But I was quickly taken back by another fan who wanted to touch Collins and she literally jumped across and fell, landing in my chair. It was so awkward but she apologized and move on back to her seat. Collins ended up picking another fan from the lower level so pay attention he may come for you!

Image

After that magic trick he presented Little Mix and the crowd was loud and roaring so loud you could feel the anticipation. British pop sensation Little Mix formed in  The X Factor UK who broke record with their first album surpassing the Spice Girls “Spice” album in 1997.The quartet group is made up by Leigh Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirwall, Jesy Nelson, and Perrie Edwards. The girls opened up their segment with “Salute” from their second and latest album “Salute”. They had a lovely drop curtain background with the British flag and their logo on it. The girls came out and their outfit look more collectively and true to themselves and most of their outfit can be shopped at Topshop and Forever 21, so if you are inspired by like Little Mix  go check these stores out.  The girls are very lovely and so beautiful in person  they are absolutely adorable and very humble.

They sang “Word Up” their new single for Sport Reliefs, “MOVE”, “Little Me”, “Nothing Feels like You” also from their Salute album.  They also surprised the fans by singing “DNA”, and closing with “Wings” from their first album “Wings”. They had amazing choreography and also played up on their vocals by harmonizing flawlessly in accapella during their performance of “Little Me”  the first song they all wrote together as a band. They also paid tribute to former girl group Destiny Child’s with the song “Bootylicious”. Personally, I think they need to come back again to the U.S with their own tour because this is a true girl band right there with the Spice Girls, Destiny Childs, TLC, and are deserving to have a tour of their own and many more albums, and arenas to sell out. This is girl power at its finest!

And while we waited for Demi to come out there were also some really crazy posters we saw out there but this one definitely stood out because of its creativity 🙂 I loved it the girls were jumping up and down screaming it until everyone turned their heads to look at their posters hahaha 🙂

Image

Image

Once again Collins Keys came out back again did his last magic act for the night and presented Demi Lovato! To be honest and fair when I read and heard the news of Nick Jonas accepting the proposal of becoming the Musical and Creative Director of Demi Lovato’s Neon Lights tour, I was estatic. He also had confirmed and I qoute Nick when he said “I’m overseeing video content, wardrobe, lighting and staging.”  This made me think “WOW! This is going to be like a crazy cool never  before seen side of  Demi coming back kicking butt!”.

But I  have to admit I was a little disappointed, and let down by this built up of anticipation. Of course Demi Lovato came out and gave her best performance and without a doubt she is a great performer. BUT when it comes to the creativity with the wardrobe, lighting, and staging I felt it lacked a whole lot. Being that the tour is called NEON LIGHTS one would think she is going to play off the obvious and have various neon lights flashing throughout the performances or her wardrobe. Demi’s wardrobe was a simple black “.D.A.R.E.” forever 21 top slashed in the back exposing some skin half tucked inside of a black American Apparel style shiny leggings. She is known for her big bold accessories for a statement, and black boots. I wish she would also had more wardrobe changes being that it would have made it more visually appealing. Her hot pink hair was half braided  with three braids on one side and then pull over to the other side. She opened up with her hit song “Heart Attack” from her self titled DEMI album. Followed by “Made In The USA”, “Two Pieces”, “Nightingale”, “Really Don’t Care”, “Something That We Are Not”, “Just in Case” just to name a few. She also sang a couple of songs from her old albums like “Catch Me”, “Here we go again”, “Catch Me”, “Don’t Forget”, “Everytime you lie”, “La,La, Land,” and her recent song “Let it Go” from Disney’s FROZEN.

ImageAs for the stage it was quite small and even though I was in floor row 22 it was quite a little far and I wished it could have been a little longer. As far as lighting and visuals goes this is where it gets tricky.  I loved most of the visual effects they had for videos that display in the background while Demi took the stage from the opening, throughout, and  especially for the tribute she made of her from the past till now. I thought that was super cool, and it reminds you her story from where she was at a certain point in her life, the changes, and now.  The lighting it was really dark, which made it hard to watch her perform in certain songs, and also affected the way photographs came out in camera. She is a true artist, and when she takes the stage she commands it like a champ. But like all performers she did have some vocals go off about three times but she managed to pull it off like the pro she is. From what I had heard of other fans that came from meet and greets the word was Demi may have been suffering from a sore throat so she wasn’t feeling too well. Which makes it totally understandable.

ImageShe also gave amazing and supportive speeches from bullying, self harm, awareness, and on current events like VENEZUELA.  Demi gave a long heartwarming speech right after a Venezuelan fan gave her his hat with the Venezuelan flag on it. This made me almost cry due to the fact that it hits close to home because not only as a Latina it makes me proud to see another Latina stand up for other Latinos but because she is a public figure who a lot of young people look up to and the fact that she is aware of what is going in the world besides “Hollywood” makes me appreciate her even more. She also parents out and urge them to get their kids help and to talk to them and for those who were dealing with their own demons to come out and ask for help because its never too late. One of my favorite part was the ending because as she sang and closed with “Neon Lights” a massive amount of pink, white, and yellow neon confetti poured from the ceiling over us.  I took some really great videos and photos I will share with you those sometime next week so be on the look out!! But for now I hope you enjoyed these ones! 😉

So overall I think the concert was pretty good but it was not one of my top favorite ones on the list. I am a Lovatic, I love Demi Lovato I think she is amazing, and you can tell she worked hard and is super proud of this album and tour. Which I am all for!! But was I expecting a little more YES! Did I feel a little cheated? MAYBE. Would I still go or urge other fans to go?! ABSOLUTELY NO QUESTIONS ASKED! Will I keep going to more Demi Lovato concerts? YOU BET I AM! cathee and evetzie love demi lovato

So if you see Demi Lovato come by in concert with her NEON LIGHTS TOUR 2014 go check her out the concert is worth going to just don’t expect too much of lighting and wardrobe changes or story line performances like Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, or P!NK! would.

Hope you enjoyed this concert review 101, leave me any comments or feedback down below! And if you have seen this tour comment your thoughts too!   Love always,

Evetzie xx ;)

Where I’ve been…. “TOUR LIFE”

Hi fashionminies,

How are you all throughout the world?! I love you all so much trust me I have not forgotten about you. This year has been nothing but an adventure full of mix emotions. From sad, sappy, stressful ones to fun, crazy and wild ones. I have been fortunate enough to have live and learned a lot from different people I have met that have somehow inspired me to move forward from this stage of my life. So I quit my day job in order to pursue my dreams and so now I’m running on pure luck, faith, hope, prayer, will, hardwork, and dedication.  Thanks to all those people that inspired me are from co-workers, friends, family members, to of course celebrities that I look up to a lot I think I’m finally doing this. So if you pray keep me in your prayers and if not just wish me luck please. I would really appreciate your support. Even if its just reading this blog and leaving lovely comments on it 🙂 xxx p.s: but at least I can honestly say I have enjoyed and bucketlist my way through this year with a lot of things I never in a million years thought or expected to happen. Some dreams do come true unexpectedly in the moments you least expect them to; others my take a little while longer but never lose hope and keep working hard for them. Sometimes all you need is a little bit of faith and time! 😉 you can qoute me on all that!

Among all this year has been nothing but concert to concert one after the other and I don’t mean to sound like I am bragging because I’m not. What I mean is I have worked hard to earn my money to reward myself with attending to concerts because its what I am passionate about. I love music, music is an universal language that no matter where you are from everyone can relate to it whether its the lyrics, the beat, the rhythm, just everything. Its also the reason I live for as well I love music and without I really don’t know where else I could be I just am glad and thankful I have music to express myself through it. Its the only the constant thing beside obviously God, my family, and my true friends that keep me going.  With that being said if you have followed my posts on the last following months you may have read my other posts on reviews from other concerts. If you haven’t seen some of the reviews its because I have been busy with other aspects of my life that I haven’t had the time to write them yet but I promise I will eventually. I just got home right now from the last one which was tonight and it was FUN. no really I mean FUN. ft Tegan and Sara as their opening band 😉 and it was amazing!

Image

This is the list of the concerts I have gone to this year since February of 2013 – present ( from first to last in order they appear on the list):

1. The Truth About Love: P!nk ft. The Hives

2. Unbroken Tour: Demi Lovato

3. The Red Tour: Taylor Swift ft. Ed Sheeran

4. Right Place, Right Time Tour: Olly Murs ft. Before You Exit

5. ICONIC Tour: Icona Pop ft. Sirah and also K.Flay

6. Moonshine Jungle Tour: Bruno Mars ft. Fitz & The Tantrums

7. Some Nights Tour: FUN. ft. Tegan & Sara

So with that being said I highly recommend all of you to check any of these artists out in your local venue if you have the chance or I hope that you do someday at some point because they are really REALLY good.  So far from this specific list of concerts my favorite hands down in these order goes like this:

1. P!NK there is no beating her in the quality of performance, vocals, and she definitely is the BEST.

2. Olly Murs ft Before you Exit– I mean seriously these two together were just amazing enough that they didn’t need dancers or anything like that they themselves makeup for the whole show. I literally thinks so.

3. Taylor Swift ft. Ed Sheeran – Just because Ed Sheeran was in it this whole concert was already the top of my list. I mean if I go by Taylor Swift honestly it was a pretty good concert. She did put a lot of effort on her dancers costumes, and detailing on their performances. Now Taylor herself she had some decent costumes changes which I appreciate, and I can see the effort and money she put towards the tour (not like she went broke on it the girls makes billions off everything and ex-boyfriends songs lol JK haha). But her performance was good. Would I go to another one of her concerts again? Not a big fan of hers but I like her songs honestly so “maybe”. Never say never because look where it got me. I would have never attended a Taylor concert and I did because it was the only way for me to see Ed Sheeran so I was not going to pass up my chance. And I mean Ed Sheeran was FLAWLESS and I don’t say this just cause I love him. This man is one of the best musicians and composer out there. His lyrics are to die for I mean they are from the heart and not this bullshit to please people. They are honestly raw and the way his plays the guitar and his voice is unique. He has that IT factor for me that anywhere I go I can say that’s and Ed Sheeran song or that’s him. And he is the most humble human being, and I can say this because I was fortunate enought to meet him and he is just a great human being.

4. Bruno Mars– Man Bruno is the best performer out there vocally this guy is amazing and he is hilarious! I never thought in a million years how much fun his concerts would be. I even doubted at first and I am so glad I had the chance to see him live. He is so worth going, and next time I hope I am front row because he is that good. His energy, and smile just lights up the whole arena.

5. Demi Lovato – She is so good vocally  and she definitely is a great performer. She didn’t dance a lot because of her broken foot at the time. But she looked amazing and her vocals were spot on. She sang a little bit of everything. But I rather pay to see her next time in an arena than for FREE at Universal’s Mardigras even if I sat outside under the sun the whole damn day till 9pm at night. Not only did I get sunburned but almost killed there was a stampede in the crowd of people falling on top of each other like a domino effect causing injuries on people. A lot of got hurt and claustrophobic-ally jammed. They wanted to put so much people in one area that it was ridiculous. And I was there early in the bright shining hours barely eating went to the bathroom only once waiting and waiting to get almost killed. I really suffered in that concert.

6. FUN. – I love their energy that they put out in their performance. They are vocally amazing in person better than in their albums. Their staging, graphics, and lighting effects were so cool. Their music is obviously more laid back so don’t expect to jump up and down the whole damn time. Their merchandise were pretty affordable which made me very happy because most of these concerts i don’t know what the hell they think selling over the price hoodies, tees, snapbacks, shorts… NO WAY!

So THANK YOU FUN. for making your merchandise pricing affordable for your fans!!! 😀

7. Icona Pop – They are just starting out and this was their first headlining tour in America which their performance was fun, their music is great but they really just didn’t impress me a lot with their opening bands. Sorry! 😦 But Icona Pop def is great party music to jump up and down to and really have fun with. I love them.

I hope you all have a blessed week 🙂 I will be posting more things soon! Love you!!! XXX

MY REVIEW ON TAYLOR SWIFT’S “THE RED TOUR 2013” FT. ED SHEERAN

HI FASHIONMINIES!
559957_366319170130156_160739720_n_large
SO I HAVE TO UPDATE YOU ALL ON MY LIFE AND THE “OH SO AMAZING” EXPERIENCES I HAVE ENCOUNTERED IN THESE COUPLE OF MONTHS.
SO AS ALL OF YOU KNOW I HAD PURCHASED TICKETS LAST YEAR TICKETS FOR TAYLOR SWIFT’S RED TOUR 2013 THIS MAY. AND WHY TAYLOR SWIFT ANYWAYS?… WELL MOST OF YOU KNOW I AM NOT A BIG FAN OF TAYLOR’S THOUGH I ENJOY SOME OF HER SONGS I WOULD NEVER EVER GO TO ONE OF HER CONCERTS, OR SO I THOUGHT? I AM PRETTY SURE THAT MOST OF YOU HAVE HEARD ABOUT THE PHRASE “NEVER SAY NEVER” YEAH I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO THAT MYSELF.

SO LONG STORY SHORT I  FOUND OUT THAT  ONE OF MY FAVORITE  AND ALL TIME FAVORITES BRITISH SINGER AND SONGWRITER GRAMMY NOMINATED  ED SHEERAN WAS TAGGING ALONG” THE RED TOUR” AS ONE OF HER OPENING ACTS. RIGHT THEN AND THERE, THERE WAS NO QUESTION IN MY MIND THAT I HAD TO GET TICKETS NOW FOR THIS CONCERT NO MATTER WHAT IT TAKE OR HOW MUCH I HAD TO PAY. I WAS SO EXCITED I COULDN’T SLEEP THE NIGHT BEFORE THE TICKETS WERE RELEASED TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.  SO THEN I FIND OUT THAT THE TICKETS FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC WAS GOING TO BE RELEASED A LITTLE EARLIER BEFORE 10AM IF YOU WERE AT THE ACTUAL BOX OFFICE. SO I WAKE UP MAD EARLY THE NEXT DAY NEEDLESS TO SAY I HAD TO BEAT TRAFFIC FROM EARLY MORNING DRIVERS, AND DRIVE THROUGH ALL DOWNTOWN ORLANDO AND FIND A PARKING SPACE. WHEN I GET THERE, THERE WAS A HUGE LINE AND I WAS LIKE “IS THIS FOR REAL?” AS I MADE MY WAY IN THE LINE AND WAITED ALONG WITH THE REST OF THE FANS THERE. AFTER WHAT SEEMED AND ETERNITY WAITING IN LINE FOR ABOUT AN HOUR I GOT TO THE WINDOW AND THE FRONT ROW AND VIP PIT WERE “SUPPOSEDLY” SOLD OUT ( WHICH EVERYONE KNOWS ITS A LIE! BUT WHATEVER!) SO I ENDED UP BUYING A PAIR OF TICKETS FOR $86.00 EACH ON THE LOWER LEVEL SECTION.

SO YES I WAS THERE MORE FOR ED SHEERAN THAN FOR TAYLOR SWIFT. BUT A GIRL HAS TO DO WHAT A GIRL HAS TO DO. SO I OBVIOUSLY KNOW TAYLOR SWIFT’S “RED” ALBUM AND ALL OF HER SONGS BECAUSE THIS ALBUM I THINK PERSONALLY HAS BEEN THE BEST ONE SO FAR. I THINK ITS BECAUSE ITS MORE FUN, AND IT HAS MORE SONGS I CAN RELATE TO RATHER THAN SOME OF HER OLD ALBUMS.

THE DAY OF THE CONCERT:
SO THE DAY OF THE CONCERT COMES AROUND AND I HAD REQUESTED THIS DAY OFF WORK LIKE LAST YEAR. SO ITS THE DAY OF THE CONCERT AND I AM SO EXCITED I CAN’T BELIEVE I WILL BE SEEING ED SHEERAN LIVE IN A FEW HOURS. I DEFINITELY DECKED OUT MY OUTFIT TO SHOW MY SUPPORT. SO PREVIOUS TO THIS I HAD BOUGHT ONLINE MONTHS AGO DIFFERENT THINGS SO I COULD MAKE THIS OUTFIT HAPPENED.

– AN ORANGE TANK TO GO UNDERNEATH
– BRIGHT BLUE SKINNY JEANS
– BRIGHT ORANGE FLATS
– ED SHEERAN’S “+” ALBUM COVER HANDMADE EARRINGS
– ED SHEERAN PERSONALIZED SILVER BRACELET WITH MY FAVORITE LINE FROM HIS SONG “WAKE ME UP” THE BRACELET READS: “MAYBE IM IN LOVE WITH YOU WHEN YOU WAKE ME UP”

SO OTHER AMAZING THINGS HAPPENED BEFORE THE CONCERT THAT MADE MY NIGHT! WHICH WAS I MET ED SHEERAN IN PERSON FACE TO FACE AROUND 2PM THAT SAME DAY EARLIER BEFORE THE CONCERT LATER ON THAT NIGHT. BUT TO KNOW HOW I MET HIM AND SEE THE PICS MAKE SURE TO READ MY NEXT POST!!! I WILL TELL YOU ALL THE DETAILS!

SO I HAD SOME REALLY AMAZING SEATS CLOSE TO THE STAGE SIDE VIEW LOWER LEVEL GOT TO SEE “VIP” AREAS LIKE THE DANCER’S SWITCHOUTS, WADROBES, THE VIP RED TOUR AS THE WALKED BY WITH TAYLOR SWIFT’S MOM, THE DJ AREA, WHEN THEY CLEANED HER AND HER BAND’S GUITARS, POLISHING THEM. PLUS I HAVE MY AMAZING CAMERA THAT MY MOM GOT ME FOR CHRISTMAS WHICH WAS MEANT FOR THIS CONCERT ANYWAYS BUT THAT I HAD USED TO PHOTOGRAPH IN OTHER CONCERTS LIKE “pink” AND “demi lovato”. SO BEFORE THE CONCERT STARTED I MET SOME REALLY AMAZING FANS AND MADE SOME NEW FRIENDS. THEN WHEN THE CONCERT STARTED IT STARTED A LITTLE BEFORE THE TIME IT WAS SUPPOSED TO, SO PROPS ON THAT. THIS OTHER UP AND COMING COUNTRY SINGER OPENED UP FOR ED SHEERAN HIS NAME WAS SOMETHING BRYCE… I KNOW IM SORRY IM DIDN’T CATCH THE WHOLE THING BUT HE WAS GOOD.

THEN WITHIN A FEW MINUTES ED SHEERAN CAME OUT AND I WAS LIKE DONE FOR LIFE. HE WAS JUST FLAWLESS. I HAD A BIG BRITISH FLAG I HAD BROUGHT WITH ME INSTEAD OF A POSTER AND I TOOK IT OUT AND I WAS LIKE WAVING IT PROUDLY SO HE COULD SEE IT. THE GREAT THING ABOUT ED SHEERAN IS HE DOESN’T NEED DANCERS HE DOESN’T NEED ANYTHING HIS VOICE AND TALENT IS CAPTIVATING ENOUGH. HE CAN PLAY THE GUITAR LIKE NO OTHER YOU CAN TELL HE IS ART, HE IS MUSIC, HE IS A LYRICAL GENIUS. IF YOU HAVEN’T HEARD OR LIKE ED SHEERAN YOU SERIOUSLY ARE MISSING OUT ON SOMETHING THAT IS GREAT. WHAT I LOVE ABOUT ED IS THAT YOU CAN TELL THAT MUSIC IS HIS LIFE, PASSION, AND EVERYTHING THAT IS HIM. AS SOON AS HE STEPS ON THAT STAGE AND STARTS PLAYING HE POURS OUT HIS WHOLE HEART AND SOUL INTO EVERY SONG IT DOESN’T MATTER HOW LONG THE SONG IS. HE MAKES SURE THAT EVERYONE IN THE CROWD IS INVOLVE AND HIS ENERGY FILLS UP THE WHOLE ARENA. I SANG MY HEART OUT TO ALL OF HIS SONGS AS I TRIED TO TAKE AS MANY PHOTOS, AND VIDEOS OF HIM POSSIBLE. I WANT TO BE ABLE TO GO BACK AND SAY WOW I WAS THERE AND RELIVE IT. BECAUSE GOD KNOWS WHEN IT WILL BE THE NEXT TIME I WILL BE ABLE TO SEE HIM AGAIN IN CONCERT. AND HE MADE MY NIGHT EPIC REGARDLESS IF TAYLOR’S SHOW WOULD BE GOOD OR NOT. LATER WHEN HE ENDED HIS LAST SONG HE EXITED NEXT TO THE AREA I WAS SITTING AT AND WAVED BACK. 😀

IMG_0554

HE OPENED UP SINGING “GIVE ME LOVE”, “KISS ME”, “DRUNK”, “LEGO HOUSE”, “U DON’T NEED ME, I DON’T NEED U” MIXED WITH HIS OWN COVER OF MACKLEMORE’S “THRIFTSTORE” AND ENDED WITH “A-TEAM”. WHICH WAS AMAZING BECAUSE HE HAD EVERYONE PULL OUT THEIR CELLPHONES AND WAVE THEM AND IT LOOKED LIKE GLITTERING ANGELS IT WAS EPIC THE WHOLE ARENA JUST FLAWLESS IN LIGHTS IT MADE THE ATMOSPHERE AND THE SONG JUST MORE AMAZING TO BE IN.

THEN LATER ON WITHIN A FEW MINUTES MORE I SAW THE DANCERS LINING UP AND TAKING THEYRE PLACES IN FULL COSTUMES AND I KNEW THAT THE SHOW WAS ABOUT TO START. IT WAS COOL BECAUSE BEFORE THAT SOME OTHER FANS AND I GOT TO SAY HI TO SOME OF THE DANCERS AND WAVE AT THEM. THEY STARTED DANCING TO “AMERICAN WOMAN” ALONG WITH US HAHA. SOME OF TAYLOR SWIFT’S DANCERS WERE DANCERS WHO WERE CONTESTANTS OR FINALISTS IN PAST SEASONS OF “SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE” AND I HAD RECOGNIZED A FEW. WHICH WAS SUPRISINGLY FUN.

REDDDDD

SO TAYLOR SWIFT’S SHOW STARTS AND THE “RED” SIGN STARTS FLASHING AND RISING UP. REVEALING THEN THAT SHE IS STANDING BEHIND A RED CURTAIN THAT IS KIND OF SHEER SO YOU COULD SEE HER SILHOUETTE AND STARTS TO SING HER OPENING NUMBER TO “STATE OF GRACE & HOLY GROUND” SHE CAME OUT AND HAD BLACK HIGH WAISTED LEATHER SHORTS AND WHITE LONG LACED SLEEVE TOP BLACK BOWLER HAT, RED LACE UP OXFORD FLATS WITH RED CRYTALS ON THEM, BLACK CATEYELINER MAKEUP AND IN HER SIGNATURE RED LIPS AND STRAIGHT HAIR WITH A LITTLE WAVES AT THE END, AND RED MICROPHONE IN HAND. AFTER HER SONG ENDED SHE STOOD THERE FOR ABOUT A LEGIT 15 MINUTES WAITING FOR THE CROWD TO APPLAUD AND CHEER AND SHE LOOKED AROUND THE ARENA. SHE THEN SANG “RED” WHICH WAS REALLY COOL CAUSE THE DANCERS USED RED SILK FABRIC AND FLAGS TO WAVE AROUND. SHE THEN CHANGED OUTFITS WITH A RED UNITARD WITH A RED SEQUIN OVERLAY SKIRT AND RED SILK GLOVES DID A 50’S VERSION JAZZ SOUND OF “YOU BELONG WITH ME”.

THEN SHE CHANGED THE OVERLAY SKIRT TO A LONG SILK ONE AND DID A VINTAGE INTRO VIDEO TO “THE LUCKY ONE” THAT REMINDED ME OF BRITNEY SPEARS VIDEO “LUCKY”. DEFINITELY ONE OF MY FAVORITE CHOREOGRAPHED DANCES AND THEMED SONG OF THE NIGHT.

IMG_0578

THEN SHE CHANGED AGAIN HER SKIRT FOR A WHITE FLARE SKIRT AND SAT DOWN AND SANG “MEAN” AND “YOURE NOT SORRY” AND THEN MY FAVORITE SONG “STAY STAY STAY” WHICH LATER SHE MIXED THAT SONG AS SHE WENT UP THE STAGE STAIRS THAT LIFTED IN THE AIR TO AS SHE SANG THE LUMINEER’S “HEYHO”.

IMG_0595

SHE THEN CHANGED OUTFIT AGAIN AS THE PLAYED A SLIDESHOW OF VIDEO AND PHOTOS FROM HER AT AGE 1 ALL THE WAY TILL AGE … 22!!! WHICH INTRODUCED THE 22 SONG WHERE SHE CAME OUT IN A PREPPY OUTFIT VARSITY JACKET WITH THE LETTER “R” FOR RED, BLACK AND WHITE STRIPED LONG SLEEVE TOP, AND RED SKINNY JEANS. THIS WAS ANOTHER OF THE COOLEST SONGS SHE DID IT WAS FUN, ENERGETIC, YOUNG, AND THEN DANCERS TOOK HER FROM THE MAIN STAGE TO ANOTHER LITTLE STAGE FARTHER AWAY AS SHE HIGH FIVED THE FANS IN THE CROWD UNTIL SHE GOT THERE.

ED

IMG_0484

THEN OVER THERE ON THAT STAGE SHE SANG ANOTHER SONG AND THEN WITH ED SHEERAN SHE SANG THEIR DUO TO “EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED” WHICH I LITERALLY ADORE, AS THE PLATFORM CIRCLED SLOWLY SO EVERYONE COULD SEE THEM. THEN HE LEFT AND SHE SITTING DOWN SHE SANG “BEGIN AGAIN” AS THE PLATFORM RAISED IN THE AIR SO EVERYONE COULD SEE HER AND IT WAS PRETTY COOL. THEN SHE SANG ANOTHER OLD SONG OF HERS.

IMG_0608

THEN WHILE SHE CHANGED FOR HER NEXT NUMBER A VIOLING GIRL CAME OUT AND PLAYED INTRUMENTALLY THE INTRO FOR “TROUBLE” WHICH TAYLOR CAME OUT DRESSED IN A WHITE UGLY VINTAGE GOWN THAT LOOK LIKE IT WAS MADE FROM PLEATED DRAPES (:) SORRY). THE NUMBER WAS PRETTY MUCH LIKE BRITAIN AWARDS PERFORMANCE CHANDELIERS, MASQUERADE DANCERS, AND THEN THEY STRIP HER FROM THAT UGLY COSTUME AND SHE IS LEFT WITH A LACED BLACK HIGH WAISTED PANTS AND COOL TOP. AFTER THAT SHE SANG “ALMOST DO” IN HER RED PIANO WHICH SHE GOT A LITTLE CHOKED UP ON… (I PERSONALLY THINK THIS WAS THAT TAYLOR LAUTNER BASED SONG…LOL 😉 ) THEN SHE CHANGED TO A WHITE DRESSED MUCH PRETTIER AND JUMPED OUT OF A MUSICAL BOX AND ITS NUTCRACKER STYLE DANCERS AND SANG “LOVESTORY”.

THE SHE CHANGED AGAIN INTO BLACK TOP WHITE SKIRT AND SANG “TREACHEROUS” LIKE SHE WAS A GYMNAST AND SHE WAS IN A LOVE CLIFFHANGER BEING HUNTED BY EVIL CLOWNS AND RABBITS (YEAH..). THEN SHE CHANGED ONE LAST TIME INTO A RINGLEADER WITH A TOP HAT AND CANE IN HAND AND DID HER BIG FINALE SONG “WE ARE NEVER GETTING BACK TOGETHER” WHICH WAS AWESOME IT WAS A CIRCUS THEMED SHE THEN CIRCLED 360 DEGREE IN A STAGE PLATFORM AND THEN CONFETTI FLEW OUT AND AROUND THE WHOLE ARENA.. AND I PICKED UP AND SAVED SOME FOR SCRAPBOOKING SAKE, AND YEAH IT WAS FUN!!

P!NK: The Truth About Love Tour 2013

Dear Fashionminies!!

I had the pleasure to attend to my very first P!nK! concert and I am so excited to share my expeirence with all of you. So make sure you read the whole article. Love you all! xxx

__________________________________________________________________________

First of all i would like to say that I thank God everyday for creating music and for allowing us to see talented people who play music and use their struggles to compose, sing, or create songs who others who listen to it can use a method of therapy, healing, support, or etc. Whatever it is without music I don’t know where I would be because I myself have found healing, and life in music. And that goes for almost all the artist I admire or I am inspired by, thank you because one way or another your songs have a lot of meaning in my heart. Not necessarily all but most have touched my heart.

P!NK: The Truth About Love Tour 2013 – My Review

Image

Oh how I love P!nk I think she is an amazing artist and human being. While growing up I remember coming out of one of my classes in middle school and listening to her hit songs like “There You Go”, “Most Girls”, and many more from her album  “Can’t Take Me Home” who debuted back in 2000, thanks to a classmate who had her album at the moment. I pretty much instantly liked her type of music, and genre. Then I remember when she first came out everyone had something bad to say about her but I loved her. To me she was a young woman who was coming out of her struggles through music, she represented empowerment for women.  I think she does have an empowerment voice, she has her own amazing and unique style,  and she has many amazing qualities that are to be admire for.

I was watching an episode of Behind The Music featuring Pink and I remember being amazed by her life story. Then I understood her more as human being and as an artist. From how she took all her struggles and made masterpieces from composing, to as her passionate vocals in her songs. Something that stuck with me was that when Pink was at the age of 11, Pink started using recreational drugs that then slowly it to other drugs like LSD, PCP, ecstasy, and crystal meth by the time she was 13, she had already known every side of it. And a lot of it was a result due to her parent’s divorce which was a very heavy burden for her and her family while growing up. Also the fact that she got discovered while she was high while performing to a Hip Hop beat in Philly at a nightclub. And then later on within time by executive producer .L.A. Reid. What I love about her is that to her everything to her was a challenge, and she loves to prove everyone wrong and that was her life progress and that’s what makes her P!NK!  Also her music has inspired me as I grew up, and I remember that one of my favorite songs who have stuck with me was “Family Portrait” because of her parents divorce I understood where she came from. By the time her album “Mizunderstood” came out I was definitely a fan of hers for sure. And ever since then her albums and songs just keep getting better and better from her vocals , to her performances, and even herself as a person she’s simply amazing.  So now that you know my background with Pink may I present you my review on the PINK! :TRUTH ABOUT LOVE TOUR: 2013

Image

Image

Her opening act was a band called The Hives which were pretty much okay. At first they were fun but then eh they kinda got annoying. But when it was her turn to start the show her opening song was amazing. This was my first PINK concert ever! I have always wanted to go to one of her shows. She is AMAZING!!! She is beautiful, VERY humble, sweet, and kind. She did a lot of modern dance and aerial work in this tour. She has a powerful voice, high energy routines, and she sang everything live even when she was doing her aerial .She slingshot from ground  and did some aerial work  and her male aerialist and dancers to her hit song “RAISE YOUR GLASS”  along with some awesome red and white fireworks.

Image

Image

Then she sand a lof of her old songs from previous albums like “Family Portrait”, “Sober”, “Please Don’t Leave Me”, “Fuck-ng Perfect’, “Trouble”, “Most Girls”, “There You Go”, “Who Knew’, “U + Ur Hand”, “Mean”, “One Foot Wrong”. Also from her new and recent album THE TRUTH ABOUT LOVE she sand “Here Comes The Weekend”, “Try”, “Just Give Me A Reason” ft Nate from FUN., “Slut Like You”, “Walk of Shame”, “How Come Your Not Here”, “Blow Me (one last kiss)”. And she also sang “Glitter in the Air” like her Grammy performance with the aerial work and drenched in the water.

My favorite performances throughout the whole concert were the opening act to “Raise Your Glass”, “Sober”, “Please Don’t Leave Me”, “Try”, “Blow Me (one last kiss)”, “Family Portrait”, and “So What”. They all had a lot of aerial work, and modern dance and a lot of technical work. I was very impressed.

By the way she gave so many autographs to the fans on pit or front row it was like amazing. I had never seen an artist like her, or Enrique Iglesias who stopped for like 15 minutes giving autographs and pictures. Plus she was so humble she shared about her trip to Disney with her little girl, and she was so easy going, and like I was starstruck by how sweet she is. You have to go to a PINK concert when she is in town she is definitely worth paying for like she is that great!  So she is a MUST GO!!!

Image

Before the show ended she slingshot all the way to nosebleed seatings so everyone could see her during her “So What” performance. She sang a lot of songs and famous hits. The dancers were awesome so was the staging. I got a brand new professional camera for Christmas and this was my first time using it and I got to take amazing photos and videos.
